Wayland 0.11.8

Wayland at its strongest. More functionality, more power, more reliability.

Wayland 0.11.8 leads with a browser and computer-use overhaul. Wayland now bundles and auto-enables a built-in browser capability, so when you hand it a job that touches the web it opens pages, clicks, fills forms, and pulls back exactly what you need, fast and clean. On the Mac, a one-pass permission flow gets computer use live in seconds. Then it stacks on more: response-length control you set, a persistent per-project workspace, reliable channel delivery, and clean long sessions across every provider.

Eight reasons to update.

Browser use, overhauled

Wayland now bundles and auto-enables a built-in browser capability, so the moment a job touches the web it just works. Hand it a task and Wayland opens pages, clicks, fills forms, and pulls back exactly what you need, fast and clean. No separate setup, no extra keys, no manual wiring. The web is now a first-class place Wayland can go to get your work done, on every platform.

Computer use on the Mac, sharper and smoother

A one-pass permission onboarding flow gets screen recording and accessibility live in seconds, with deep-links and the usage strings macOS needs. Grant once, and computer use is ready to drive your Mac.

Response-length control

You set the response length now: Auto, or a fixed budget you dial in, and the engine sizes the right token budget per model automatically. Big complete answers when you want them, tight and lean when you do not.

Persistent per-project workspace

Projects now keep a persistent workspace if you do not set a location, so everything you build stays exactly where you left it, session after session. The temporary-directory default is gone, and your work stays put.

Reliable channel delivery

Named messaging channels, including an IMAP email channel, now resolve and deliver correctly, so when you wire up a channel Wayland delivers every time. Set it once and trust it to land.

Massive projects run lean

Large project context is capped, so big projects stop ballooning token usage and cost. All the work, at a sliver of the cost, full speed. The bigger the project, the more you save.

Long sessions run clean across every provider

Internal routing metadata is stripped from outbound tool calls, so long-context sessions stop getting rejected by strict providers. Pure flow, no interruptions, every provider you connect.

Concierge, more self-aware

Concierge gained workspace and config-path diagnostics, so your built-in guide reads even more of your real setup and points you to exactly the right place.
